Council Meeting 2022

2022 Triennial Council Meeting Kampala, Uganda

Our Council Meeting and AGM took place on Friday 19th August and fourteen member organisations from twelve countries were represented. 

The General Manager presented a comprehensive review of the work completed since the last council and advised council that Masauso Mwanza had been re-appointed as the African Development Manager.  Tim Pratt and Ane Kolby Kristiansen talked members through the thinking behind the next strategic plan; the new Exco would be tasked to bring this to life.

The Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade Canada and the newly formed BB Pakistan were formally approved as new members and were warmly welcomed to the fellowship.

David Martin, Treasurer presented the Annual Accounts for 2021 which showed that expenditure still continues to exceed income.  David also proposed a revised constitution which allows for future hybrid meetings and the ability to co-opt one additional person to Exco.  The revised constitution was adopted unanimously.

The meeting unanimously elected Kamphata Botha (Zambia), Kim Koch Rasmussen (Denmark) Margaret Pang (UK & RoI) Khareem Perry (Trinidad) to the board and congratulated them on their election.  David Martin was re-elected as Treasurer and was again co-opted as a trustee.
